Presidio remodel
The existing three-story, 2,600 square foot residence, situated on a narrow lot, possessed a compartmentalized floor plan, a claustrophobic stairway, and an uninspired exterior appearance. The remodel and addition involved the complete removal of all interior walls, the construction of a new central open stair, a one-story addition, and a rear yard expansion. The exterior facades underwent a comprehensive transformation, incorporating integral color stucco, a slate roof, updated glass railing systems, new doors and windows, and custom metalwork.
The interior design incorporated an open modern floor plan that maximized natural light, a sculptural central stairway, and a spacious family kitchen and terrace.
The renovation was executed by Ryann Marlowe, a partner at DomA Architects, Inc..
