Pacific Heights Residence 1
Situated in the affluent Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, this approximately 5,000 square foot residence underwent a comprehensive renovation tailored to the needs of a young couple seeking a functional and aesthetically pleasing home for their two young children.
The multi-level interior was redesigned to create a sophisticated entry foyer and staircase that harmoniously blends formality and intimacy.
The existing entryway underwent a meticulous transformation, incorporating a new formal staircase that ascends to the existing living level. This staircase features new arched openings and decorative coffered ceilings.
To enhance the connection to the outdoors, the home’s corner lot was strategically utilized to create new openings and maximize the existing openings, thereby capturing the panoramic views of the bay and city skyline.
The Pent Room was meticulously reconfigured to accommodate larger openings, allowing for an unparalleled appreciation of the breathtaking bay and city views. This elevated space stands out as one of the most dramatic transformations of the renovation.
The project was successfully completed by Ryann Marlowe, a partner at DomA Architects, Inc.
